Founded in 1994 as a community-wide collaboration, Minority/Women Business Enterprise Alliance, Inc., (The Alliance), is a non-profit, one-stop business resource center, initiated in Central Florida by eight prominent public/private sector partners in cooperation with forty-four business and community leaders. The Alliance is a Certified SBA Micro Lender, Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), National Community Development Agency and Community Development Entity (CDE). Our agency is dedicated to supporting our clients through entrepreneurial and business development, seminars and workshops, access to capital, management and technical assistance, individual consulting, contract matchmaking, program management, construction services, community advocacy and through our partnerships with other technical assistance providers on local, state and federal levels. A nine (9) member Board of Directors now leads the agency with the continued support and commitment of our original founders.

The Alliance was formed specifically as a one-stop business resource center to meet the needs of the minority and women business community in Central Florida. The initial focus was on providing technical, management, business development, and construction assistance along with access to capital and financial counseling.

Our organization is a recognized Economic Development Agency, SBA Certified Micro Lender, Community Development Entity (CDE), and a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI).
